U.S. Army signs $75 million contract for passive RFID
ODIN technologies
said it was selected as a prime contractor for a new $75.5 million contract for passive RFID solutions from the U.S. Army. The selection is a nice win for ODIN, which has carved out a strong niche for itself serving the Department of Defense’s RFID needs, but also a positive signal of ramping adoption by the US military.

 

Government to take over screening from airlines
Come January, at least one aspect of traveling by air may improve. That’s when Uncle Sam takes over passenger screening from the airlines. It is good news for many travelers but some worry that the new system isn’t bugproof.
