This is the fourth award BRS Labs has won this year for its unique approach to security; its AISight’s software ingests external visual input (computer vision), while its machine-learning engine observes the scene, learns and recognizes behavioral patterns, and responds accordingly
Represents the fourth first-place win in 2009 for AISight Behavioral Analytics Software
Houston, Texas-based BRS Labs, developer of what the company claims is the first video behavioral-analytics system, has won the top prize in the first annual ASIS International “ASIS Accolades” program for its “adaptive learning” technology, known as AISight. The ASIS Accolades prize honors the security industry’s most innovative products, services and solutions.
Note that this is the fourth award BRS Labs has won this year. BRS was recognized by Network World as “One of the Top Ten Security Companies to Watch”. AISight also won at ISC West in April 2009, claiming the top spot in the Security Industry of America’s New Product Showcase, and named “Best New Video Analytics Product”. Most recently, AISight claimed “Best in Show” at the May 2009 Security Summit in the category of “Most innovative Products.”
The company correctly points out that it is virtually unheard of for one company to sweep all the number-one prizes awarded by multiple security-industry trade groups over the course of just one year. But then, the company says, AISight is unique. The software ingests external visual input (computer vision), while its machine-learning engine observes the scene, learns and recognizes behavioral patterns, and responds accordingly — much like the human brain. There is no required preprogramming or manual setup, creating a turnkey solution that eliminates false positives while providing the most scalable platform on the market.
“We are delighted to win the ASIS Accolades award and are honored to be recognized by the ASIS organization. We believe the ASIS Accolades award provides further evidence of our rapidly expanding market share, and demonstrates the critical value our ground-breaking Behavioral Analytics technology brings to the security industry,” said Ray Davis, the founder of BRS Labs.
