Frost & Sullivan to make UAV presentation
UAVs play an ever-growing role in defense and homeland security missions; Frost & Sullivan will brief interested investors on the potential of the European market for UAVs
Readers of the Daily Wire would know that we have paid much attention to robotic vehicles of all types. We believe they offer the promise of assuming many roles of missions now undertaken by soldiers and first responders — and do so at a fraction of the cost and at no risk to personnel. We note, therefore, that the London branch of Frost & Sullivan will offer a presentation analyzing the potential European unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market. Frost & Sullivan’s Aerospace and Defense Group says it wants to address the European military market potential for the increasingly sophisticated sensor technologies on small and mini-UAVs. Company officials say the presentation will also address the potential effectiveness and versatility of UAV technology in the civilian security market. Both the British and U.S. militaries have been actively using advanced UAV technologies in Iraq and Afghanistan. “The presentation will include an examination of mini-UAV systems’ market penetration in the European defense sector, technology overview, market opportunities, strategic recommendations, and an evaluation of future prospects in the European markets,” the company said. “As the European military UAV market takes off, opportunities for smaller systems have proliferated,” Frost & Sullivan senior analyst Antony Adie said. “However, consolidation will rationalize the market as it matures.”
The Frost & Sullivan presentation on the European mini-UAV market will be held on 28 November.
