The growing attention to preparing for, coping with, and recovering from natural and man-made disasters means that more government and private funds are allocated to emergency services, and more professionals are trained and hired to perform emergency-related services.

Direct-mail companies have noticed this trend. ConsumerBase LLC, an Evanston, Illinois-based database management company, is adding emergency responder mailing lists to its database this week. The company says that the new emergency responder files strengthen an expansive database with current B2B data for direct marketers.

ConsumerBase’s high standard for quality data ensures that our clients receive the best lists available,” says Larry Organ, CEO of ConsumerBase. “The new and updated emergency responder mailing lists are no exception.”

The new lists the company has added to its database include:

Emergency Medical Professionals - 9,531

Emergency Response Magazine Consumers - 51,984

Police and Firefighters By State - 79,502

Fire and Police Department Chiefs - 134,695

The company notes that emergency responders include police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMT), and many other specialized rescue and safety-related professionals. Emergency services, technicians, officials, and other professionals within this field are targeted by direct marketers promoting products and services to improve rescue and survival rates, increase speed of service, or replace existing technologies.
