Published 8 August 2006

An innovative New Hampshire company shows updated version of its BioKnob biometric door locking device

Keeping the children out of places they should not be in the house, or restricting access to employees to private offices just got easier with Tychi Systems’ new BioKnob v1.06. The device which is a normal doorknob with added biometric security makes Tychi the only US company to develop a stand-alone, fingerprint lock. The company has set up its own manufacturing facility in China to better control its quality and protect its intellectual property, but all customer relationships and support are handled through its headquarters in Salem, New Hampshire. The company began shipping the BioKnob early this year and has already doubled its production. Tychi is currently seeking dealers to distribute the BioKnob v1.06. The company made its debut at earlier this year at the ISC West show in Las Vegas. Tychi Systems is privately held.
